Addition - First and Second Floor Addition

  • 11_02_07_478
This is modular first and second story addition on the North Shore of Long Island. The demolition, underpinning, and site construction was extremely difficult. The unique and challenging modular design of the first and second floors including the porch area was an incredible accomplishment. I want to thank all people involved including the homeowners, the architect, and the entire staff at Pinecrest Modular Homes and Signature Building Systems. Jonathan Davidson President

A Modular Overview

Modular Construction

Modular Construction is multiple section units built inside a factory and assembled on a building site. It has many structural upgrades not found on site built stick construction.  Modular  construction offers fixed pricing and less risk and inconvenience for the home buyer. There are many custom designs and tremendous design flexibility. Modular construction is less expensive due to factory buying power and productivity levels. Factories are constantly improving quality, product selections, product materials (sustainable products),  efficiency, and waste.

Pinecrest Modular Homes is a modular builder located in Plainview, New York.  Our website is www.pinecrestmodularhomes.com. We offer New Construction, Additions (first and second floors), and Direct Shipments.

Our Services Include the following: architectural designs, drawings and floor plans, budgeting, cost benefit analysis, construction cost proposals, engineering, set pricing options, building permitting, construction scheduling, project management and field supervision, house construction, change order management, site finishing, punch list management, value added interior and exterior upgrades, and  general contraction and subcontracting.

This blog will be broken down into three categories: Modular Housing Products and Pricing, Builder Services and Site Improvements, Factory - Production Issues.
